Full-Time Nanny Needed
Regular Rate: $20-25/hour. Standby Rate: $5-10/hour. Overnight Sleep Rate: $10/hour. W-2 Employment position with legal payroll and tax withholdings.
As a single mother finishing her ER Doctor residency, Mom is looking for another person to be a reliable and consistent caregiver for her son. This is a long-term position, with a 1 year Work Agreement, with the potential to renew.
The main responsibilities of this position will be the care of the child and related duties, as outlined below. An engaging caregiving style and reliability are important to this family and are therefore required personal values to be considered for this position.

About the Nanny Job
- Schedule: The schedule is based on Mom’s residency schedule at the Emergency Room, and rotates on a 28 day cycle. The schedule is inconsistent, but is provided 3 months in advance. Generally the shifts will be M-F, weekend help is not a regular expectation. Within a 28 day period, the following shifts would be expected:
- 7 Daytime Shifts: 5am-7/9pm. Morning routine until school drop off, Standby hours until school pick up, afternoon & evening routine until Mom’s return
- 4 Overnight Shifts: 5/6pm-7/8am. Evening routine until child sleeps, Sleep hours until child wakes, morning routine until Mom’s return or school drop off
- 4 Wednesday Mornings: 6am-1pm. Morning routine until school drop off, Standby hours until 1pm
- Hourly Rate: Regular Rate: $20-25/hour. Standby Rate: $5-10/hour. Overnight Sleep Rate: $10/hour. W-2 Employment position with legal payroll and tax withholdings.

- Experience & Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2+ Years of Professional Childcare Experience
- 6+ Months Toddler Experience
- Experience with Montessori style care preferred
- Family Personality:
- Laid back for the most part. Mom is working on finishing her residency while navigating a divorce and raising a toddler.
- Ideal Family/Nanny Relationship:
- I hope to have similar goals and expectations as the nanny, and want to give the nanny autonomy while being kept in the loop. I’m looking for regular and open communication with a casual dynamic. Text messages with photos and updates will be appreciated.
