CPR & 1st Aid Training and Certification is critical for all caregivers. Knowing how to respond in a situation can save a life. Not only is this life-saving training important to providing excellent care, but it is also required for all nannies working with Northwest Indiana Nannies. Because of this, we have compiled a list for you of locally held classes for training.
- Play for Jake Foundation: CPR & AED classes are regularly available through the Play for Jake Foundation in LaPorte, IN. Classes are $40. Visit Play For Jake’s Website
- Red Cross: CPR, AED, and First Aid classes (including baby and child CPR) are available from the Red Cross. They offer both online and in-person classes. You can search by your city to find a class near you! If you have not taken an in-person class within the last 5 years, we recommend that you do so for your renewal (rather than opting for an online only class). Cost for these classes differ depending on location and topics covered, but range from $35-$117. Visit Red Cross Website
- The American Heart Association: CPR, AED, and First Aid courses are available in various capacities from the American Heart Association. This site is more of a resource with tons of information. It also includes a tool to help you locate additional training sites. Visit AHA Website
