Long-Term Nanny/House Manager Needed
$23+/hour, 25-32 hours/week, Mon-Thur. 2 Weeks PTO and Guaranteed Hours are offered.
This role supports both the children and household, with a strong focus on the children’s interests & growth and creating a loving, well-organized home. With an 11 y/o girl and 13 y/o boy, this family is involved in several extra-curricular activities and sports. During the summer months, childcare and related activities take up a greater percentage of the responsibilities. In-school hours are focused on house management duties. This family is a seasoned nanny employer, and their current Nanny/House Manager (having been with them for 5 years) is stepping down to move out of state. They are looking for a self-starter who will be able to step in and take ownership of this role, and who will become like a family member. The children want a fun and silly nanny who isn’t too serious and is easy to talk to! This is a long-term (7 years) position, with a 1 year Work Agreement, and expected renewals.
The main responsibilities of this position will be the care of the children and house management duties, as outlined below. An organized approach, flexibility in schedule, and an open & honest communication style are important to this family, and are therefore required personal values to be considered for this position.
Ideal start date: June 15, 2026 -to provide an overlapped schedule for the current Nanny’s last week.
About the Nanny Job
- Schedule: 4 Days/Week, 25-35 hours/week. The schedule will adjust based on the needs of the household each week/season, but a general idea for the Summer season is the following:
- Mondays 10am-6pm
- Tuesdays 11am-7pm
- Wednesdays 10am-6pm
- Thursdays 10am-6pm
- Hourly Rate: $23+/hour, based on years of experience & qualifications. W-2 Employment position with legal payroll and tax withholdings

- Experience & Education Requirements:
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- 2+ Years of professional childcare experience required.
- Family Assistant or House Management experience preferred.

- Fun-loving, constantly working to be organized, family-oriented. We enjoy traveling, going out to eat, beach days, watching movies, board games, cooking together and having family dinners, and attending after school activities.
- Ideal Family/Nanny Relationship:
- We want to have an easy flowing relationship with our Nanny/House Manager that has open communication and adapts well with feedback from all parties. We regularly use text messaging to communicate about tasks, schedules, and happenings. We enjoy being involved with our Nanny/House Manager like we are family!

- House Management Responsibilities:
- Pantry/fridge management
- Kitchen supplies management
- Meal planning, grocery shopping
- Meal preparation
- Occasional dinner with the children
- Coordinate family calendars (including school, after-school activities, parents, and office).
- Family laundry
- Dishes
- Take out trash & recycling.
- Care for and water house plants.
- Decorate for holidays and season changes.
- Family errands (bank, post office, UPS, prescription pick-ups, returns, etc).
- Managing and refilling household consumable supplies (soap, fridge filter, carpet cleaner, etc).
- Schedule and manage contractors for household related repairs and maintenance.
- Schedule and manage family vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- File and sort mail/bills.
- Gather items no longer needed for donation.
