Full-Time Long-Term Nanny Needed
$18-21/hour plus Over-Time at $27-31.50/hour (48.5 hours/week)
Ideally this position will grow with the family as they grow, adding additional children in the future, and adjusting to a hybrid nanny/house manager role when the children spend time in school. Both parents are career focused and commute for work, so this position has regularly scheduled Over-Time (OT). This is a very long-term position, with a 1 year Work Agreement, and expected renewals for up to 20 years.
For the first year, the main responsibilities of this position will be the care of the child and related duties, as outlined below. Proven reliability, high initiative, and creativity are important to this family and are therefore required personal values to be considered for this position.

About the Nanny Job
- Schedule: Full Time, 48.5 hours/week (8.5 hours of regular OT)
- Mon: 7:30am-4:00pm
- Tues, Wed, Thu: 7:00am-5:30pm
- Fri: 7:30am-4:00pm
- Hourly Rate: $18-21/hour, based on years of experience & qualifications. Over-Time (OT) rate: $27-31.50/hour. W-2 Employment position with legal payroll and tax withholdings

- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- College level education/training in Early Childhood Development strongly preferred
- 2+ Years of professional childcare experience required
- 2+ Years of dedicated nanny experience preferred
- 6+ months of professional infant (under 12 months old) experience required
- Experience engaging children with creative activities required
- Family Personality:
- We are a hard-working couple with a calm and loving home. We enjoy frequent walks as a family, watching movies, house projects, and golfing. We spend many weekends in Michigan with family, and we enjoy spending time with friends. Both parents commute for work, but Dad does work from home (WFH) on Mondays and Fridays. Dad travels for work regularly, and Mom travels for work about once per quarter.
- Ideal Family/Nanny Relationship:
- We are looking for a long-term family-like relationship with our nanny. Someone to be another person for our child (and future children!) to trust and rely on while she grows up. Our goal is to give the nanny autonomy throughout the day. We expect to have casual communication about how things are going during hand off times. We would like to have a friendly relationship with our nanny and have personal discussions too, not just limited to work. Our communication style is direct and clear, and we do not shy away from tough conversations. We expect to use group text to share updates and photos, but we would also like a recommendation from the nanny for a baby app to track progress and activities. We are open to other product suggestions as well.
